Over the last few days Clint and I had the opportunity to take a trip together in celebration of our 10 anniversary (it was back on August 15th) We wanted to wait until school started and everyone was in the routine of things...so it would be less stressful for everyone!
We had the chance to visit the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon and then took a detour into Vegas! We had such a blast! The Hoover Dam is absolutely amazing! How it was created and the people who worked so hard to build it during such a hard time for our country. Really a neat story behind it.
And the Grand Canyon will really take your breath away! We stayed and watched the sunset on the first night we were there. The man at the hotel said we didn't want to miss out on the "fireworks" of the sunset. We thought it was more of a small pop.....! It was a cloudy night, but it was still beautiful!
Next, we were off to Vegas! We stopped off to take our picutre with Fred Flinstone on the way! Clint loved driving the little car! Lots of drinks, lots of food and lots of money lost! Had to call a credit card cab to get to the airport (if that tells you anything about our winnings...or lack there of! ha)- but we had a great trip.
My parents and sister watched the kids while we were away and I couldn't have asked for them to be in better hands. Coming home and listening to all their stories....sounds like they had a mini vacation too! Here are a few pictures from our trip!
