Dine For Diabetes!

Tonight was "Dine for Diabetes" at all the Austin area Pluckers! So we decided to treat ourselves to a little chicken before Bailey's tournament game. We were joined by Bailey's Boy Scout leader and family!

Thank you for coming out to help us support the cause tonight- Randall, Robyn, Skylar and Jake! It really means a lot to us!

Silly boys!

It was an extra special treat to see that Kaci's 3rd grade teacher decided to join us with her family to Dine for Diabetes as well! Thanks to everyone and a special thanks to Pluckers!

Let's pretend!

We had our Girl Scout meeting tonight and the girls got to dress up in their costumes!
Looks like purple and black and witches was the trend for this year! So cute!

A silly bunch of girls!

The girls had fun tonight earning their "Let's Pretend" try-it badge. Perfect for Halloween when we are all pretending to be someone we are not!

Happy Halloween!

Update: Trick or Cans

The girls collect 93 items on collection day for Trick or Cans!

This Saturday they will be taking them to the Round Rock Serving Center to help stock them on the shelves!

LIfe is a test. It is only a test!

Bailey's first season on a baseball team (not t-ball) ,with the Riverdogs, has been a great experience. They might not have won all their games- but they learned, they improved and they had lots of fun! We are so thankful that we had the set of coaches that we did. After seeing- but mostly hearing - some of the other coaches at games- we know that we were blessed with coaches that realize that the process is more important than the outcome.

Swing Batter, Batter,

Batter-

SWING!

The boys start the tournament this Tuesday at 7:30. It is a single elimination tournament- so if they win they will go on to play again on Thursday. If not, it will be their last game of the season!

Let's Go Riverdogs!!

Sing 'til your heart is content!

Bailey had his school singing program tonight. Clint had to work late and I was feeling really sick- but he was determined to make it to the program. When I asked him if we could just stay home so I could rest he said ," Well, I guess so but it is just that I have worked so hard these last few weeks to learn all these songs. I would hate for all my hard work to be for nothing!"

I brushed my hair and got my shoes on as fast as I could!

So proud of you Bailey! All your hard work and practice really paid off!!

Pack Meeting, Awards and Haunted Houses!!

Tonight was Bailey's Pack Meeting. It is the meeting held once a month for all of the Boy Scout dens to get together and receive their belt loops, pins and patches!

Here is Bailey with his Tiger Cub pals from Den 3.

Bailey received 3 beltloops tonight! So proud of him: bowling, baseball and kickball!

After awards some of the dads put together a little haunted house. It was not much more than a few cafeteria tables, Christmas lights, flashlights and spooky music- but the kids loved it~ Here are Kaci and Bailey going though it together. Bailey was a little nervous about it- so Kaci helped out by going first!

Bowling, Baseball and Kickball~

Trick or Cans!

Today Kaci's Girl Scout troop meet up at our house to pass out Trick or Cans flyers to help collect food for the Round Rock Serving Center. What a super bunch of girls! Way to help our neighbors and community and those less fortunate than us.
Bailey and Megan even set out to help with us!

It took a little under an hour to pass out 100 flyers. We will be meeting up again next weekend to go back and collect the food that is left out for us. Then the following Saturday the 30th- the girls will be taking a trip to the Round Rock Serving Center to actually stock the goods they collect on the food pantry shelves.

A few of my favorite Halloween pictures of the kids!- In no particular order...

Lots of good memories!
