Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action.

I got my carpets cleaned and scotch guarded today! For those of you who know me....it is like I won the lottery. Having my carpets cleaned is one of the best rewards in the world! AHHHH I love it. We used Daddy's Carpet Cleaning again! They are the best. If you need carpet or tile cleaned in your house....give them a call and ask for, Odie! Tell them Andrea sent you!

"Life is like an ice-cream cone, you have to lick it one day at a time." Charles M Schultz

Look at those cool sunglasses! Yummy!
Kaci and her birthday cake ice cream cone!

More sprinkles, please!

Bailey had his second dentist appointment ever today! -- and guess what??

NO CAVITIES!

He was such a brave boy....and I was so proud of him. We treated ourselves afterwards to a delicious Baskin Robins ice cream cone with sprinkles! Bailey got chocolate with peanut butter ribbon and Kaci went with birthday cake. I had a smoothie from the smoothie shop-

but tried a lick of both cones! Hard to pick a favorite. :)

#1 Fans of Dad and their Classic Daddy!

We had a great Father's Day weekend. As a treat to Clint- the kids decided to wash his truck and prius ! :) I think they just wanted to get wet...ha! They had so much fun.
We celebrated later that night with PaPa and Mark and the rest of the gang at Catfish Parlour...gotta' love that rootbeer. We are very fortunate to have such great dad's in our lives!

Fathers are wonderful people,
too little understood,
And we do not sing their praises
as often as we should,
For Father struggles daily
to live up to his image
As protector and provider
and hero of the scrimmage,
And perhaps that is the reason
we sometimes get the notion
That fathers are not subject
to the thing we call emotion.
But if you look inside Dad's heart,
where no one else can see,
You'll find he's sentimental
and soft as he can be.
Fathers are just wonderful
in a million different ways,
And they merit loving compliments
and accolades of praise,
For the only reason Dad
aspires to fortune and success
Is to make the family proud of him
and bring them happiness,
And like our heavenly Father,
he's a guardian and a guide,
Someone we can count on
to be always on our side.

When I was young, I used to admire intelligent people; as I grow older, I admire kind people.Abraham Joshua Heschel

Hello Handsome!

Bailey and Crush

Here are a few pics of our pet turtle, Crush. He lives in a 10 gallon aquarium in the laundry room (which he is slowly outgrowing everyday) ! Every once in a while- we let him out in the backyard to stretch his legs a bit! He loves to crawl and he is very fast when he wants to be!

The best way to get a puppy is to beg for a baby brother — and they'll settle for a puppy every time.Winston Pendleton

Isn't she sweet?

Here are the newest photos we have received of our new puppy! She is 3 weeks old today!
Isn't she cute? We have been told by her breeder that her personality is really developing wonderfully! She is very sweet, but definitely holds her own in the puppy wrestling matches that are becoming quite regular every few hours ;-) In fact, the second photo show her winning a "match" against brother Tito. We can't wait until we can bring her home!

WOW~ Look at that!
Talking to PaPa about his tooth!

We are home- safe and sound- from our beach vacation.....BUT before I can post about it, I have to post about the most exciting thing that happened this morning.

Bailey lost his first tooth!!

It has only been lose for about 2 weeks, but it got lose fast. I told him before we left on our trip that I thought he would lose it before we got home. Well, this morning while we were packing up the hotel room- it did. Bailey was dancing around in front of the mirror when all the sudden it just flipped right out of his mouth. Luckily- it didn't go far and we were able to find it in no time. He was so excited...and it didn't even bleed! He got right on the phone to call everyone to tell them all about it! He has been dying to lose his tooth ever since Kaci lost her first tooth 3 days before she started Kindergarten. We have been telling him you have to be in school before you can lose your teeth....so now he knows he is ready for Kindergarten!!

On another happy note.....Kaci's top tooth has FINALLY made it's appearance. She lost this tooth back in August and has been toothless ever since. We were starting to wonder if it would ever come! She went to the dentist for a check up last week (BY THE WAY....NO CAVITIES!)and the dentist recommended that Kaci chew on a cold teething ring to help it break through the gums! I guess it really worked. I can't wait to see what she looks like with 2 top teeth! I know it is going to make eating so much easier for her as well!

Go Bailey Go!

Today was the first day of the kids summer bowling league! They will bowl every Wednesday at 1:00 for the next 9 weeks. It is 3 to a team so they asked their friend, Romy, to join with them. It was such an exciting day because Clint was off for vacation so he got to be there on their first day. We meet the Walkers at Chillis to build up our strength and energy. The kids could not wait to get there. They even have team shirts ..... and Jessica thought up the best name for their team... THE PIN PALS! For every strike or spare they got to pick a sticker -and boy was the incentive. Bailey got 2 strikes, 3 spares and Kaci got one strike and picked up 2 spares!! We have started a chart on the fridge where they will collect all of their stickers over the next few weeks.
We are looking forward to next week.....Pa Pa and Grandma Dee will be in the crowd!

Bailey and the puppy!
Kaci and the puppy!

Today we got to go and visit our new puppy. She is just shy of 2 weeks old. We still have not come up with a name for her...maybe our visit today will help! She is so cute and her mom, Sarah Jane, was so friendly! Kaci and Bailey even got to hold her for a while! We can't wait to visit her again after we get home from the beach next week!
