Talk to your wife now....baseball season starts soon! ha ha

Bailey had his first night game tonight. Grandma Dee, BerBer and Colton came to help us cheer them on!

The camera settings were not working very well for me. Bailey makes such a cute catcher!

It was a great game and the Riverdogs took the WIN! 13 to 11~ Way to Go!

If you don't enjoy what you have, how could you be happier with more?

It is that time of year again! Time to make our Team Poster for the Say Boo to Diabetes JDRF Kids Walk! Last year Kaci one first place. We are going to see if we can make it 2 years in a row!

She planned the design, then I drew it out and she took the time to color and trace !

I think it turned out great! We still have a few things to add - and it might need a touch of glitter to make it sparkle...but I think we have a great start!

Kaci- Starring in "Captain Carrot" - as Captain Carrot

Crush goes for a swim!

We decided to give Crush a much needed chance to stretch his legs tonight in the backyard. As most of you know- we have a red eared slider named, Crush. He was given to us about 5 years ago when Kaci was 4 by her Aunt Amber. Some kids in Amber's class had found him in a pond and she had him stay in her room as the class pet through the reamainder of the year. When summer came, she brought him to our house for us to watch over the summer.

When it was time for him to return the next school year- Kaci was not willing to let him go.
So ...here we are 4 years later.....

He really liked the kids pool!

The experiment continues.....

This was the water bottle after just 2 days.

Here is the water bottle after 7 days.

Just like I promised, here is a picture of Kaci's bottle with all of her needles, test strips and pokes
(minus what she uses at school for lunch and snack) Getting full, eh? How long do you think it will take before it is all the way full? I am guessing 2 weeks....quicker than I thought.

Riverdogs!

Here is Bailey getting ready for the big game today! So cute in that uniform...it just kills me!

Bailey had to be at the fields today at 11 to warm up. Kaci and I went to watch last week, but this week we showed up at game time 12 o'clock, along with PaPa, Aunt Amber and Uncle Mark.

Bailey got to play catcher this week! He was so cute in all his gear! Tried to take his picture through the fence. This was the best I could do.

Here they are getting a pep talk from the coach between innings.

Bailey made 2 runs and had several great plays in the outfield. Even though they lost 9 to 6, the Riverdogs played hard.

Bailey's coaches gave him the game ball and awarded him with the title "Player of the Game!" Way to go, Bailey! Mommy is your BIGGEST fan!!

Everything looks brighter!

Kaci has been having a little trouble reading the board at school so I schedules an eye exam for her today. She was a little nervous- so she asked her Aunt Amber to come with us for support.
I think she was relieved when she saw how quick and easy it was! I am so proud of her. Once the eye doctor found her prescription- Kaci said, "Everything looks brighter!"
Here she is in her new glasses! They will be ready in about 10 days~

I took these pictures with my phone- so they aren't the best. She ended up getting 2 pairs of glasses.....can you say SPOILED!? Hard to tell in these pictures, but these are dark brown.

These are my favorite! (excuse the store sticker on the front lense!)They are black with hot pink on the interior! Adorable...and the same age I was when I got glasses- 8 years old and in the 3rd grade~

Scentsy Buddies!

The new Scentsy catalogue came out...and along with it came new products! I just LOVE the new Scentsy Buddies! Kaci ordered Mollie the Monkey!

Bailey ordered Ribbert the Frog!

Each Buddy holds a small sachet in it's back zipper pouch. Bailey got Pima Cotton and Kaci ordered Creamy Vanilla! They are heavenly!

The secret to happiness is to count your blessings while other are counting their troubles...

So here are all the little "tools" that Kaci uses on a daily basis to help her check her blood sugar. She decided earlier today that she wants to start putting all of her used test strips, needles and finger pokes in an empty water bottle to see how long it takes her to fill one. So- I told her that I would take a picture of her bottle every Sunday to show how full it was getting.

Here is what she has collected after just 2 days. I will post another picture next Sunday so we can compare the two! Once this bottle is full- she wants to transfer it to a 2 liter bottle and see how long it takes her to fill one of those.

Hook 'Em!

Bailey enjoyed the first home game of the season with
PaPa, Clint, and Amber!
He even got to meet Hook 'Em!
Go horns!

Go Riverdogs!

Bailey had his first baseball game this morning. He joined the Town and Country Riverdogs coach pitch team. He looked so awesome in his uniform.
Here he is warming up in the batting cages.

I loved seeing his name on the back of his jersey while he sat in the dug out.

The Riverdogs played hard, but got beat at the last at bat. Bailey was 2 for 2, not bad for his first game!

I am so proud of him. He played hard out there in the heat and he will be ready to do it again next Saturday. Maybe this time the Riverdogs will take the win!

A day with Grace!

Started back to work last week! Worked three days last week to get my room ready for seven 4 year olds. It was so much fun and I think my room turned out really cute. I am looking forward to a great year. I think it will be good for my mind (not to mention the checkbook) I like it because I still have my Mondays and Fridays off. Gives me long weekends and time to have lunch with Kaci and Bailey, volunteer at school, grocery shop, clean house- or let's be honest....just sit on my bottom somedays :)

I work with a great group of wonderful women. They are caring, funny and supportive! I am very lucky to be where I am right now!

Here are a few pictures of my classroom for you to enjoy-And below, you will see all of my friends from class. Aren't they cute?

Riverdogs!

Well- it is that time of year again.....BASEBALL!

This year Bailey is playing for the Town and Country Riverdogs.
He has moved up from T-ball to Coach Pitch. Clint took him to his first practice tonight from 6:30-8. We have to make a trip to Academy this weekend to buy his baseball pants and some cleats! I can't wait to see his first game.
Hope you can make it out to watch too!
