Happy Birthday, Bailey!

Hard to believe my baby boy turns 8 years old today! I wish I could stop time for just a little while. ARGHHH! I went and picked up his cake this morning.....so AWESOME! Angry Birds!

Something tells me Bailey's birthday cake is going to be "The BOMB" with this Bomb Bird cake.

Here is a quick picture I snapped of he and I on my phone before we left for his party at Chuck E Cheese!

Just look how handsome Bailey is!! Ready to party with all of his friends!

Daddy and Kaci didn't waste any time finding some games to play together!

Bailey and Jake-- Good buddies!

Here is everybody getting their "grub on" Gotta power up before they head out to play more games!

Bailey and his good buddy, Chandler!

Time to light the candles. That always makes the "age change" official!

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday, Dear Bailey! Happy birthday to YOU! Any many more....."

Hanging out with the big C!

I love this picture! Bailey was so excited to go in the ticket blaster. I think it was harder than he thought - and he was so nervous! Good thing he wore his crown inside. It caught lots of tickets...even one worth 100 points!

Go Bailey, Go!

Thanks so much to everyone who came and made Bailey's birthday a success! Until next year....

Hope!

We went to Kaci's Dr. Appt. today and were so surprised to see this beautiful canvas hanging in the office! If you remember, last year Kaci was asked to participate in a painting project that resulted in this beautiful canvas that was auctioned off at the Hope Ball in 2010 to raise money for JDRF and their research. Each butterfly was painted by a child with Type 1 Diabetes. The canvas raised over $3,000.00 and was bought by the parent's of a child with Type 1 and then donated to the Specially for Children's office! How wonderful. Kaci has 2 butterflies on the canvas....Top far left and 2nd row 4th butterfly! So proud of her. What I wouldn't give to own this painting!!

Snow Flake cereal!

Bailey has been working hard on his Fairy Tale project from school this weekend. The assignment....pick a Fairy Tale and create a cereal box to reflect that story. Bailey chose, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

He called his cereal Snow Flakes. It is a delicious cereal with 7 delicious flavors! Each box contains a prize- one of the 7 dwarfs! Collect them all!! You even get a box top when you buy his cereal. I love his drawing on the front- it is the Wicked Queen handing Snow White a bowl of this delicious cereal- instead of a poison apple!
On the back of his box- he created a Flake Find! So creative! I am so proud of Bailey.

Wicked!

The big day is finally here! Kaci and Uncle Chad are going to see, Wicked at the Paramount Theater. Uncle Chad bought Kaci a ticket as part of her Christmas present and she has been patiently waiting for this day to get here!
Of course, Mom and to make her take a quick photo shoot in this cute dress that we got for the special event. I just love everything about it!

My baby girl is getting way to big and way to gorgeous!

She must take after her mom!

Love this picture that Uncle Chad sent me from their lunch date at Maggiano's before the show! We love you, Uncle Chad! Thanks for always making Kaci feel like the special girl she is to all of us!

Kaci is on the cover of the ROUND ROCK LEADER newspaper!!

So proud of these girls for working so hard to collect items (with the help of their school and classmates!) for the Humane Society of Williamson County. We went today after school and dropped off all of the donations.

The girls were even featured on the front page of the Round Rock Leader newspaper. The picture above made it on the front page! Way to go, Kaci!!
Here is Grayson showing off her big muscles. That box was heavy!
Even Bailey took the time to help us deliver the goodies!
We spent a little time checking out some of the animals in the shelter. So cute! We wanted to take them all home. I think I may have been worse than the kids! lol!

This dog was super cute and begging for us to take him with us. His name was Holla!
Sweet face!
This baby reminded me of a Gremlin. Poor thing!

Claws for Paws!

Back in December- Kaci headed up a small group of 3 girls (including herself) to collect and gather items needed by the Humane Society of Williamson County. The girls gathered information on what items were needed most by the animal shelter and then got to work by asking their fellow classmates to bring in some of the most needed items. They used their lunch time and their recess to meet in their TAG teachers classroom to make this collection a success. They made bookmarks to pass out in the library with the collection information. They made a slide show explaining what was needed to show on the morning announcements. They decorated collection boxes and signs to be displayed around the school.

They called the collection "Claws for Paws"

I am so proud of all of the donations that they brought in to the school.

They got dog treats, dog and cat food, toys, blankets, pee pads, bones, cat litter, cat liners, and paper towels. Way to go girls! I feel so blessed to have raised a daughter (and a son- see the Pine Derby post http://andrea-randomthoughts.blogspot.com/2012/01/so-proud-of-my-baby-boy-here-he-is.html ) who are on a consistent basis thinking of ways they can help others and their community! I must be doing something right!
