A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!

I am so excited to write this post- Below you will see a picture of me and Kerri Sparling. She is the cute and witty author of the blog, Six Until Me! You can check it out by clicking on this link-

Kerri was invited by JDRF Austin Chapter to be one of the keynote speakers at the Conference that is being held on Saturday, March 31st from 8-4.

to read the blog entry that I wrote several months ago when I found out she would be the keynote speaker at the Conference. So excited!

As soon as I found out she was coming - I expressed my joy and excitement to Amy Hyman, the Outreach and Development Manager for the JDRF Austin Chapter. You can read more about her here

Amy is AWESOME and I love her so much! She was a God send when it came to the help and support I needed from SOMEONE...ANYONE... after Kaci was diagnosed! She was always willing (and continues) to help me out when it comes to questions or support or in giving me ways to give back to the JDRF community that helped me so much when this was all new to me.

Well, needless to say- she out did herself when she asked me to attend a dinner Friday night at ZTejas with Kerri Sparling! I was so nervous and excited! What to wear? What to say?

Well, all that worry for NOTHING! We had a GREAT time! Kerri was just like I thought she would be; funny, thoughtful, smart and a great listener. It really was like having dinner with an old friend. I also enjoyed the company of Amy, Theresa, Christina, and Cassie!

Truly a night to remember.
I wish the pictures were better- I only had my phone!

All I need is a cardboard cut-out of you that I can bring around with me, Beiber-style. ;)

It was SO great meeting you, and thanks for hanging out last weekend. You ladies made my trip to Austin something very special, and it was so nice to have dinner with you all!
