Congratulations on being a GOLD STAR school!!

So proud of this banner I saw at the kids school last week! They both told me it has been hanging since last year. Not sure how I missed it, but I did! This reflects the money raised by Kaci and Bailey's classmates last year for JDRF! So proud that we were a part of this and that her school decided to hang this banner in their hallways. A constant reminder of all of the hard work the students put into this fundraiser to help Kaci and other Type 1 Diabetics! AMAZING!

Scrappers win!

Well- it is finally here! Bailey's first baseball game of the season! I just love this time of year. The weather was perfect too! (too bad the too hot weather is scheduled to be back next week)
Oh well, we will take what we can get when it comes to cooler weather. Bailey got to play his 3 favorite positions this game: catcher, pitcher and first base!! (this was his first time to play first base in a game....Way to go!)

The Scrappers worked well together as a team and were able to pull of a 7-5 WIN!

There were lots of good hits and lots of good plays in the outfield!

Thanks to PaPa and Uncle Chad for coming out to watch the first game! Even Kaci enjoyed watching this year...although I think her diet coke and giant pickle helped out a little too!

Greeting Cakes for every occassion!

Ever heard of Greeting Cakes? Well, for those of you that haven't....you have to check this out. They are so cute and affordable. My kids love them and so do many of their friends! I have been selling them (mostly buying them at a discounted rate for our friends and family) for about 5 years now. They are so unique and can only be ordered through a sales rep. or online.

You can learn more about them at http://www.greetingcakeco.com

If you order through me ....they are $6.50 each with FREE shipping!

They come in a variety of designs! You can find them with Christmas labels, birthday labels, Get Well labels, Back to school labels, It's a Girl labels, Happy Halloween labels.....and the list goes on and on and on and on!!! Here is a fun Sports label pictures below!

Here is how they work! They come in a small plastic container that holds everything you need to make a cake in . So cute! Just add water to the cake mix (in the original container) and put in the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds and PRESTO! You have a cake! Even comes with it's own icing, sprinkles, candles (for wish making, of course!) and a small spoon to eat it with! So easy a kid can do it! So tasty .... adults will want to do it too!

Step 1: Add 3 small spoonfuls of water to the cake batter mix and stir until smooth in the original container (Don't forget to lick the spoon)

Step 2: Put your cake in the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Step 3: Add 2 small spoonfuls of water to the icing packet and stir until creamy!

Step 4: Add sprinkles and your candle to the cake!

Step 5: Blow out your candle and make a wish! Eat your cake and enjoy!

A grandfather is someone with silver in his hair and gold in his heart!

Today Bailey and Kaci's school hosted a Grandparent's Day lunch! What fun and what a crowd! The kids were both so excited that PaPa was able to make it for this special treat!

PaPa and Bailey!

Kaci and PaPa right after her lunch shot! We love you, PaPa!

Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game!

I was so proud of Bailey at baseball practice tonight. He can really crush the ball this season. Even Coach E.G. told me he really thinks that Bailey has found his power! Can't wait for the Scrappers first game tomorrow at 12. I hope their hard work and practice pays off for them :)

Moving on up.....

Well, after 3 years as a Brownie- Kaci is finally "moving on up" to Juniors! Just look how cute she is sporting the new green vest. We will be meeting at the church for our first Girlscout meeting of the new year. (school year, that is!)

She is getting so big- and it is getting harder and harder to watch her grow! YIKES! Where does the time go? We are jumping right in with both feet and our troops "Fall Fundraiser" starts on October 1st. This is my favorite fundraiser of the year- I even like it better than cookies. (shhh....Don't tell!)

I will send out an email soon and let you know all of the wonderful items she will have for sale.

Here she is showing off some of the badges she earned over the summer. I love my Junior Scout!

Back to school....

Today was my first day back at school- and the first day of preschool for many kiddos! I am really looking forward to getting back into a routine. I am really looking forward to art projects, cooking lessons, new songs and making new friends! I hope this school year is the best one yet!
