Holidays around the world!

Tonight was Bailey's Pack Meeting at the school! The theme was "Holidays Around the World" Each family was asked to bring a dish, side or dessert that was important to their family at this time of year. We decided to make Pierogis.

(Polish pronunciation: [pjɛˈrɔɡʲi]; also spelled perogi, pierogy, perogy, pierógi, pyrohy, or pyrogy) are dumplings of unleavened dough - first boiled, then they are baked or fried usually in butter with onions - traditionally stuffed with potato filling, sauerkraut, ground meat, cheese, or fruit. Of central and eastern European provenance, they are usually semicircular, but are rectangular or triangular in some cuisines.

Ours were stuffed with potato and cheese filling! They were so yummy!

Bailey also wanted to make chocolate chip cookies- since that is what we bake and leave for Santa at this time of year! Lots of good food and lots of good friends tonight!
