Trick or Cans!

Today Kaci's Girl Scout troop meet up at our house to pass out Trick or Cans flyers to help collect food for the Round Rock Serving Center. What a super bunch of girls! Way to help our neighbors and community and those less fortunate than us.
Bailey and Megan even set out to help with us!

It took a little under an hour to pass out 100 flyers. We will be meeting up again next weekend to go back and collect the food that is left out for us. Then the following Saturday the 30th- the girls will be taking a trip to the Round Rock Serving Center to actually stock the goods they collect on the food pantry shelves.

A few of my favorite Halloween pictures of the kids!- In no particular order...

Lots of good memories!

"Ratatouille. It's like a stew, right? Why do they call it that? If you're gonna name a food, you should give it a name that sounds delicious.....

...Ratatouille doesn't sound delicious. It sounds like "rat" and "patootie." Rat-patootie, which does not sound delicious. "

I supppose he is not a rat- but Clint thinks he is close enough! ha
This weekend we have a visitor at our house- his name is Theodore and he is just as cute as can be! Clint is less than thrilled about it- and the cat is dying to get into Kaci's room every chance she gets! I am not sure if the dogs even know he is here yet. I think it might be better that way.

Kaci and Theodore~

Look at him crawl~

Bailey and Theodore~

You should see the other guy!

You can't tell it by this pic - but give it a few days. Got a call from the nurse today that she had Kaci and Bailey in the office. Bailey got elbowed in the eye today while playing wall ball at school. School pics are in 2 days- guess it will add a little character to his picture this year.
I told him that if anyone asks about his black eye he should say to them , "You should see the other guy!" He didn't get it- It cracked me up!
Here is Bailey with PaPa and Kaci the last time he had a black eye. They were wearing bandaids under their eyes just like him. So cute!

This black eye was after a fight with a can of cheese whiz at HEB that Mommy dropped while getting it off of the top shelf. Unfortunately- Bailey's eye caught it! YIKES!

Make new friend, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold~

Tonight was Kaci's Girl Scout re-Investiture ceremony. As Leader- I was a little bit nervous......nervous that I had not ordered enough pizza, nervous that it would not arrive (since the lady who took my order said the computer system could not find the church), nervous that I had forgotten something; plates, spoons, bowls, napkins, cups, ice...... Well turns out the night was perfect. It all went just as planned. The girls did great reading their parts, there was plenty of pizza and everyone loved the ice cream.

The girls are meeting up at our house on Saturday morning to pass out Trick or Can flyers in the neighborhood. I am really proud of them. We have currently wrapped up our Fall Fundraiser and the girls sold just shy of $1,000! (35% of these earnings go to our troop to help with future trips and expenses) We are also collecting donations for Trick or Treat for Unicef~

I love this pic. Kaci and Bailey enjoyed the see saw at the park after our meeting. You don't see these much anymore! FUN!

Why not learn to enjoy the little things...there are so many of them?

What a fabulous day to take a trip out to Sweet Berry Farms in Marble Falls! The weather was perfect! The kids loved seeing these Big Macs when we first got there. I bet you could make a few pies with one of these!

The first thing the kiddos wanted to do was go in the Kids Maze! Aunt Amber took on the challenge with them.

I took a picture of them - just in case they got lost while inside - so the rescue workers would be able to find them.

Luckily it only took them about 8 minutes to find their way to the bell and back!

Here is Sweet Kaci scarecrow! Love those braids!

I love this one of Mom and Dad. I think it should be their Christmas card picture!

This one is my favorite.....I am not sure that cute face would scare off any crows!

After pictures...we decided to check out the wildflowers and have a turn on the hayride. I love this picture of me and my babies!

The hayride was lots of fun! Kaci and Bailey were the first on....so we were right next to the big tractor wheels. It was nice and breezy - so we got a little bit of hay and dust in our eyes....

But not Bailey! He was all good with my BIG shades on! I love this picture. He looks just like a fly.

The only thing prettier than all those wildflowers is Kaci!

The kids loved walking in the tunnel under the road to get to the other side of Sweet Berry Farms to meet Grandma Dee and PaPa for lunch!

And after lunch....pumpkin ice cream and a ride in the wheelbarrow, courtesy of PaPa!

It was a perfect day! Lots of good memories

Courage is being the only one who knows your afraid.

Here we are at 3 weeks.....21 days. Before I could get a picture of the small water bottle - Kaci transferrred them to this big 2 liter. It is hard to see in this picture just how big it is. We will see how long it takes to fill to the top. Kaci is loving this experiment....me, not so much!
