There's something about Girl Scout cookies that just makes you smile. Maybe its the taste or the smell. But one thing we can all agree on is when it comes to putting a smile on someone's face... a little cookie does it!
We're happy for our signature product to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors and friends.
Operation Cookie, which sends cookies to soldiers with the help of Operation Interdependence, is just one example of how Girl Scouts reach out to others one cookie at a time. The following letter is from a soldier overseas whose heart has been warmed and belly filled by cookies he has received from Central Texas Girl Scouts.

A Brownie Girl Scout's father and friends serving in Iraq enjoy a little taste of home with cookies and send a big thank you.

Girl Scouts,

Thank you girls so much for your support to our troops on this Veteran's Day. We appreciate everything you do for us to keep us charging forward in the long months overseas. Most of us are family guys on our 6th or 7th tour to the desert equaling about 3 years total away from home since 9-11, and support from people like you keep us going. Your goodies are well appreciated and are always welcomed with a smile.

Thank you, TSG Chris DeCorte (Assistant Scout Master and Former Boy Scout)
