Say BOO to Diabetes Walk 2010

Well- it has finally arrived~ Today was the Say Boo to Diabetes Walk at Mueller Park. The Honey, Rufus and Kaci Team doubled it's donations from last year and Kaci raised $3, 502.84 for Juvenile Diabetes Research! Amazing! I am so proud of her!!


It was a beautiful day (actually got a little warm towards the end) The walk was increased this year from one mile to two- Bailey had to cut out at the one mile mark and head back with PaPa! He was just too tired and hot in his Luigi costume. Thanks Papa, for taking him back to the start line. The rest of the crew made the whole route!

We were so proud to have Uncle Chad join us this year! So glad he is back in Austin too!

Found Kaci's Boo Buddy poster a little after the one mile mark! Too bad Bailey didn't quite make it this far so that we could get him in the picture too!

I love this picture! The Texas Longhorn wearing the JDRF sneakers. The pink one says, " I love a child with diabetes" Boy isn't that the truth!!

Thank you to everyone who helped our team meet AND pass our goal this year! Thank you to the JDRF Austin Chapter for putting on an AMAZING event~ and thank you to all of the volunteers at the walk. It wouldn't be possible without all of you!
